Mountainside Lodge & Hiking Gallery
Completed in 1920, John Timothy Stone's Mountainside Lodge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The YMCA rehabilitated and reopened the Lodge in 2007. The display tells the story of Reverend Stone and this beautiful structure. The room also features the history of hiking and climbing at the Estes Park Center. Did you know that a member of the National Geographic Society's first Mt. Everest expedition was a former employee of the YMCA of the Rockies?
