Restored Cabins

Cabin #40
This cabin was built before 1920. Cabins around the main circle were sequentially numbered. Cabin #40 was the last. Originally a tent cabin with canvas walls, it was updated and became a two bedroom housekeeping cabin named Lupine. In 1996, it was moved to the museum grounds and remodeled to resemble a Y cabin from 1949.

Mariposa Cabin
This cabin was constructed in 1905 as part of the original Wind River Lodge resort that was purchased by the YMCA in 1909. The cabin served many purposes during the following decades including staff housing, barber shop and first aid station. In 1998, it was remodeled with assistance of students of Eagle Rock School in Estes Park. Today, it resembles a tourist cabin from 1905.Click Here to See a Virtual Tour
